Beekmantown Salt storage is the first salt storage building Branon Construction has constructed. The team enjoys these projects due to the shear size of every spect within the buildings. Starting with the concrete, the footers are 12'6" wide by 20" thick. The walls are 18'2" tall by 18" thick. The building dimensions measure 83' wide by 223' long. The reinforcing steel within the concrete weighed in at 80 tons. When finished there was 1100 yards of concrete poured on site with the help of Fuller Concrete pumping. The trusses are the toughest our team has dealt with. Once they are in the air it is great to look back and see the accomplishment. To finish the job off we shingled the roof which was the area of an acre and installed PVC siding on both ends
